April favs!

Hi everyone! My most used products are:

MAC liners in Blacktrack and Dipdown
Dior Favori Red
Dior Amber Diamond
Hourglass Creme to powder duo in Bronze Light (this stuff is MONEY; very little goes a long way)
Besame Sun Kissed
Bare Escentuals blush in Vintage Peach
MAC Melon (perfect on cheeks on sunny days)
Carmindy loose powder in Med/Dark
And Jane Iredale LipDrink

I love, love, love, extra love highlighters on sunny days. The highlighting side in the Hourglass duo is incredible. I can't get over how amazing and dewy it makes my cheeks look. Do yourself a favor and test it out next time you're at Sephora. ;)

What are some of your April favs?

Thanks for reading! <3

Make up faux pas?

Thought id do a fun little poll.:) What make up crimes/faux pas did you commit in middle and/or high school? In middle school I did white liner on the top lid. No black, just white. Hay I was 12! >_<

Chanel Joues Contrast blush in Espiegle

Hi everyone! Espiegle ($43 for 0.21 oz at Neiman Marcus) is a gorgeous soft peach with soft gold shimmer. Like Illamasqua Excite but with gold shimmer. *Squeels* I love peach blushes, I can't get enough of them! So when I saw the light shinning on this beauty at Neiman Marcus, I had to have it.

Texture: Very soft and beautifully pigmented. Has a light rose scent, which I love. Not sure how others out feel but I love that this is scented. Fades once on the skin though.

Packaging: Sturdy plastic and comes with a mirror.

YUM!
Thanks for reading! <33

Chanel Rouge Coco in Paris

Hi everyone! Paris ($32 for 0.12 oz) is a delicious, delicious blue based red with a little pink throw in. But on me it's a straight up blue red.Truly luxurious; from the formula to the packaging. Verrrryyy long lasting! Here is the list of stuff I ate and drank today and stayed put through (please don't judge me lmao, I can put it away):

Homemade strawberry, banana, and blueberry juice
Ceasar salad
Cold Stone fudge chocolate ice cream cake, BE JELUZ.
Cup of green tea
Then...I went to Pets Mart and took a little break from all the goodies.
BUT WHEN I GOT BACK...
Butternut squash soup
THREE, yes, THREE slices from a huge sub sandwich
Acai juice from Naked
Naked Power-C machine

And THEN I had to retouch. But it was after all that. Fabulous!

Texture: Creamy and pigmented, glides like buttah.

Packaging: Very sturdy and heavy, which is how I like it. If i'm gonna pay $32 for a l/s the packaging better be flippin' awesome. I believe it's made of metal (the black part, gold part is metal) but i'm not 100% sure. Could just be very thick sturdy plastic like their normal packaging. But i'm hoping its metal.

Btw, wanna give a shout out to Biglow for making a mean vanilla chai tea that I cannot get enough of, *sips*. Totally random, I know, but that's how I roll. ;)

Thanks checking out this post! :)

Le Metier de Beaute e/s

Thanks to my lovely, lovely, loooovely friend Rachel over at http://www.makeupneversleeps.com/, I got a huge craving for Le Metier de Beaute e/s ($30 for 0.13oz). So I went over to Neiman Marcus yesterday to check them out and instantly fell in love. You all know I love my neutrals, and let me tell you, they have gorgeous neutrals. I got shadows in Canvas (light shimmery tan), Mulberry (amazing medium taupe), and Corinthian (dark taupe). As you can see they are huge! I did expect them to come with a velvet pouch though.:( Especially for the price. Would have been nice to protect the rubber packaging, which is similar to NARS. So i'll have to keep these boxed to keep from getting dirty.

Top to bottom: Corinthian, Mulberry, and Canvas. *squeals*

Flash
Corinthian is a pretty close dupe of Satin Taupe.

No flash
You can really see here how big these shadows are.
Corinthian on bottom, Satin Taupe on top.
Got this beautiful black liner with silver micro glitter as a GWP.

See the silver glitter? *squeels*

Thanks for looking! <333

Sephora VIB event haul.

Hi everyone! Had a blast at the VIB, especially because they had cupcakes and apple cider. Heck yeah!

I got, CHANEL COCO Mademoiselle, Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in Red Muse, Hourglass duo in Gypsy, Hourglass Creme to powder bronzer in Bronze Light, Laura Mercier e/s in Sable, Guava, and Topaz. Guava is going back though, it's NOTHING like the tester was. Tester was a pigmented peach with gold shimmer, and the one I got was hard and barely pigmented.

This stuff is amaziiingggg! Leaves my skin dewy and glowy.

Here's the tote they were giving away. I really like it! Came with a bunch of samples.

Dior DiorSkin Amber Diamond

Hi everyone! Amber Diamond ($44 for 0.35oz) is a highlighter with 4 shades in one. All the colors blend beautifully together and leave my cheeks look glowy without looking OTT shimmery. I even like the first shade (dupe of NARS Albatross) as a brow highlighter. It looks SO pretty. Powder is soft but without being too soft. I apply it with a very soft synthetic brush, I find it applies best this way. There's also a pink version called Rose Diamond.

I don't know why but I swatched these R-L. Oops!

All the colors blended together.

Dior DiorBlush Sugar & Spice

No flash. This pic is true to life.

Hi everyone! Dior Sugar & Spice ($40 for 0.26 oz) is a *gorgeous* cinnamon colored blush. One side is matte and the other is shimmery. can be worn separately or mixed together. Absolutely perfect for darker skin tones.
Comes with a surprisingly soft small blush brush. I used it to apply the blush and it worked great.

With flash.

No flash. Ahh! I love this blush!

If you're as dark as I am and up, you need this!

NOTD Sinful Colors 24/7

Hi everyone! 24/7 (Maybe the name means it will make you want to party 24/7?) is a bright neon hot pink with a matte finish neons usually have.  It was very tough to photograph because my camera was freaking out at all that neon. It's a lot brighter IRL. I did the best I could though! :)

I love how 90's my nails look with this. Pretty sweet! It's a fun color for when you're feeling daring. Got this polish at Walgreens for $1.99. Sinful Colors is one of my fav brand for polishes. They not only have a great selection, but they also wear well for days with little to no chipping.

Clinique Colour Surge Butter Shine l/s in Cranberry Cream

Hi everyone! Clinique Cranberry Cream ($14.50 0.14 oz at Sephora) is a dark berry red with a touch of wine. On me though it just looks dark red, because I myself, am dark.

Glides on like a dream and is very moisturizing. I blot it of course but those of you who prefer creamy l/s this is perfect for you. Now, if you're Paula Deen don't get too excited, there isn't actual butter in this. Just Shea Butter is one of the main ingredients. Great pigmentation and staying power. Woops I accidentally put 'staying powder.' Good thing I double checked!

I prefer to wear this one with either just mascara and liner or just mascara. It's very 'hey you look at me, LOOK AT ME.' So it doesn't need too much else. I don't like pink blush so I pair it with either nude or peach cheeks. My mommy uses this l/s too. She doesn't hoard like I do (lol) so hers is almost gone.

Thanks for looking!

NOTD Borghese Bella Blackberry

This color is a stunning and burgundy with silver glitter. I know I know, it's a Fall color, but I don't follow rules. :P Brush is a little hard to work with, its huge. So it's a little messy. But I love the color and packaging so I have to suck it up. :P

Off to finish cleaning my mani! Thanks for looking!

Elf Beauty Books in Neutral and Smoky.

Hi everyone! I HAVE to share these awesome palettes. Colors range from matte, to shimmery, or with lots of fine gorgeous glitter.

Texture: Like buttah. Fabulous quality, very smooth and very pigmented. Even without a primer.

Quality: I cannot believe they're DS. The quality is amazing.  And only $5 (at Target) for 12 huge shadows. Ugh, wow.

Packaging: Just ok. But for the price...*shrugs* I'll suck it up. They came with a plastic sheet to protect them but it got in the way. It was hard to use since I do my mu with a hand mirror so I would have to put down the mirror to move the sheet over with one hand and use the shadow with the other. So I cut it off.Comes with a double ended sponge applicator and a small black e/l.

This ones my fav of the two.

4th shadow in the top row came cracked. :(

Swatched over Avalon Organics Lavender lotion. It has lots of glycerin in it so works great as a primer for swatching.

Not completely neutral. But it's still a great palette.

I highly recommend these. They both have a great variety of colors to choose from. There's even a book with bright colors called Eye Bright for those of you who prefer bright colors.
Thanks for looking! :)
